midweek day hike, frary peak, antelope island high point - March 5, 2014

Frary Peak is the high point on Antelope Island (6,596 feet) providing fantastic views to the west of the Great Salt Lake and a number of other islands and mountain ranges, as well as a great view of the Wasatch Mountains to the east. The trail gains 2050 feet of elevation in 3 1/2 miles with a little added on for the side trip to Dooly Knob. This is a fairly easy hike compared to most trails in the Wasatch but well worth doing once in a while and especially nice this time of year. We will car pool to the trail head and split gas and the park entrance fee of $10.00.
