break into the backcountry-beginner ski tour - December 5, 2015
The WMC offers COVID conscious opportunities to enjoy the outdoors.
Participants of all in-person events should bring and wear face coverings, expect social distancing, and changes to our usual practices.
To support contact tracing and hands-free signing of the WMC Liability Waiver, online registration is required for all in person WMC events.
This will be a beginning tour for those of you who have the gear and want to try it out. You must have taken Avy 101, have a beacon and have downhill experience with your gear. This is not a learn to ski venture. You must also have appropriate clothing and food and drink for a day out in the backcountry. We will discuss and practice: uphill technique, heat management, reading terrain, practicing safe skiing. Maybe if we get snow this will happen. Call to register.| Level: | NTD |
