mountaineering: climb mount hood, oregon - May 26, 2015

The WMC offers COVID conscious opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. Participants of all in-person events should bring and wear face coverings, expect social distancing, and changes to our usual practices. To support contact tracing and hands-free signing of the WMC Liability Waiver, online registration is required for all in person WMC events.
Mount Hood, Oregon (11,239 feet)- South Side route from Timberline Lodge (5800 feet) via Hogsback & Old Chute. WMC hiking trail rating (Daniel Smith formulas): 7.3 (moderate). I have reserved the 8-bed dormitory at the Timberline Lodge for our use the night of May 27-28 and the snow cat for a ride to 8500 feet. WMC ice axe class on May 2 not a prerequisite, but highly encouraged.
