alpine ski tour avalanche rescue and terrain seminar - February 7, 2016

The WMC offers COVID conscious opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. Participants of all in-person events should bring and wear face coverings, expect social distancing, and changes to our usual practices.
On this seminar we will practice and discuss search and burial recovery techniques and practices, we will also have a discussion of avalanche terrain and safe travel practices. The seminar is taught on a informal basis by WMC volunteers with some training but not professional certifications. You need to be able to ski powder and mixed snow conditions. Beacon, shovel and probe required.
