hike/micro spike/snowshoe - mt. o instead of lone peak cirque - January 23, 2016

The Lone Peak summit team has called off their adventure. Although we could still make our way up to, and possibly beyond Ennis and toward the cirque, the wind associated with the approaching storm would make this an unpleasant outing. So I'm shifting the hike to Mt. Olympus instead. Given the conditions, this should 1) give us a good workout, 2) get us to SOMETHING over 9,000 feet, 3) keep us out of avy territory, and 4) keep us protected from the wind most of the day. We can likely micro-spike all the way. If we don't like the conditions in the chute, we'll stop at the saddle. Let's meet at the trailhead at 8 a.m. That way I can catch anyone showing up in Draper up for the posted activity who didn't check the web for this update.
