hike : butler fork/gobblers knob- update - June 26, 2016

For this hike, we will travel on the Butler Fork west branch trail to the Desolation Trail. We will then hike to Baker Pass and Gobblers Knob. There are great views of the Wasatch. There should be a good display of wild flowers at the end of June. The hike distance is for one way. Lets plan to meet at 8:00 am and depart to the trailhead at 8:15 am. UPDATE- Later this summer, trail crews will work to improve sections of the Desolation Trail. One of the challenges for this project is water availability. This Butler Fork / Gobblers Knob hike hike may provide an opportunity for participants to carry water to the trail work area. The decision to carry water is optional for the hike participants and not a requirement. Same meeting place and time as described below.
