snowshoe - reynolds peak (or somewhere probably in bcc) - December 7, 2019
The WMC offers COVID conscious opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. Participants of all in-person events should bring and wear face coverings, expect social distancing, and changes to our usual practices. To support contact tracing and hands-free signing of the WMC Liability Waiver, online registration is required for all in person WMC events. We plan to summit Reynolds Peak (9,422 ft) via Mill D North or Spruces, weather and conditions permitting. Bring snowshoes, micro-spikes and 10Es. Please email before Friday, 3 pm, December 6, for the meeting place and time. Registration priority will be given to WMC members. Note: Depending on weather and conditions, the snowshoe/ snow hike location may change. Update (12/1): If the conditions are not favorable to snowshoe to Reynolds Peak, we will snowshoe at a different safe location. Note (12/5): Depending on conditions, the snowshoe location may change. Avalanche safety gear (avalanche beacon, probe and shovel) is not required but recommended. I have extra avalanche safety gear. If you want to borrow it, please indicate when you register.
