mountain bike - fruit loops - mountain bike in fruit heights - October 4, 2019

This is co listed with the Davis County Outdoor Adventures. Here is my friend Valerie's description. Cheers Dave. Details: The mountain bike trails in Fruit Heights aren't long, but they are fun. Map is in the Web Link below. The outer beginner loop is 1.75 miles long. I like alternating between the beginner loop and the intermediate loop. There is also a diversion to ride up a paved street on one of the loops. We can ride the loop(s) as many times as we want. I am a timid rider, so I have to walk my bicycle around some of the switchbacks. This ride is rated as beginner/intermediate, but if you want to veer off and do harder trails on your own - go for it! The trails start at the south end of 1800 East in Fruit Heights. The map below is not accurate in that it shows 1800 East continuing into the bike park. This pin should get you to the parking area. On Rte 89, turn east on Nichols Rd. Make an immediate right. Turn left on East Oaks Drive. Turn right on 1800 East. At the south end of 1800 East in Fruit Heights, park on the east side of the street across from the houses. Do NOT go up the steep hill made of black crushed rock to the upper parking lot. The trail actually starts to the right of the paved road below that hill. If you know where the Bair Canyon hike starts, the TH is actually on the opposite side of 1800 East in Fruit Heights.
