road bike: mid morning northwest valley loop ride - August 21, 2020

This is a series of short morning rides to get some exercise without spending a lot of time doing it. Today's ride is a Northwest Valley loop starting in South Salt Lake. The route works its way north and west to Rose Park, then around the north side of the golf course and west across Redwood Rd to the intersection of 2200 W and 2100 N. The return route follows 2200 W South to 700 N, then picks up the Jordan River Pkwy trail and follows that to 1700 S, then east to Main Street and south back to the start. This ride is about 22 miles, but only has about 130 feet of elevation gain, so we should probably ride it a little faster to get our exercise, say about 12-14 mph on average. We'll start around 9-ish. Registration is required. Group limit is 10. To participate, you'll need to be COVID-19 free, and will need to agree to the terms and conditions on the WMC liability release form. Email me if you would like to join us. I will send out the details the day before the ride, including a link to a map and cue sheet of the ride we will do.
