hike: spanish fork peak via maple canyon - July 18, 2020

The WMC offers COVID conscious opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. Participants of all in-person events should bring and wear face coverings, expect social distancing, and changes to our usual practices.
LIMITED TO 6 PARTICIPANTS (and my dog). THIS ACTIVITY IS FULL. Spanish Fork Peak sits by itself between the Cascade/Provo Peak massif to the north and the Santaquin Peak/Loafer Mountain massif to the south. 10,196 feet elevation, 10.6 miles round trip, and 4,685 feet gain. This activity is posted as hiking but there is the possibility of some snow (micro spikes and trekking poles recommended). Drive to trailhead is about 1 hour from SLC. Expect an early morning start to avoid the heat. As suggested by public health authorities, be prepared for social distancing, symptom questions, and use of hand sanitizer and face coverings (buffs work well while recreating). Awesome dogs on leash are welcome.
