rock climb: 101 clinic - learn to climb, big cottonwood canyon (5/17)

THIS ACTIVITY IS LIMITED TO 6 PARTICIPANTS. 6 SPOTS REMAINING AND 3 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED. This is a beginners' workshop on the fundamentals of rock climbing plus equipment use and selection. If you have always wanted to experience climbing, are rusty and just want a refresher, or just want to improve your fundamental skills, this is your chance. This is also a great opportunity to meet and learn with other interested beginner climbers. We will cover gear and techniques including proper belay, top roping, and climbing with a focus on safety. You will need a harness, belay device with locking carabiner, helmet, and shoes. There is a suggested $15.00 clinic donation. This outdoor clinic will last a few hours. Experienced climbers who wish to assist with this clinic and share their experiences are encouraged to volunteer.
