mountaineering - corral mountain via bartholomew canyon in springville - May 8, 2021

The WMC offers COVID conscious opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. Participants of all in-person events should bring and wear face coverings, expect social distancing, and changes to our usual practices.
We plan to make Corral Mountain (10,440 ft) via Bartholomew Canyon in Springville, weather, conditions and situation permitting. Corral Mountain is located in south of Provo Peak and one of the Wasatch 10k peaks but is rarely climbed. Exploratory. Please bring microspikes, crampons, ice axe, helmet and 10 Es. We have extra ice axes, an extra helmet, and an extra pair of crampons (for small feet only). But participants must have previous experiences in using crampons and ice axe. Please email before Friday, 6 pm on May 7 for the meeting place and time. Registration is required. WMC members only. Registrants will receive more detailed info. Limit 8. COVID-19 protocols will apply. Co-organized with Mark Maier.
